Phil StayhueReady to report to Campus Martius Park?

Anchoring a two square block district serving as a commercial hub in the heart of Detroit, the modern 2.5 acre Campus Martius Park* is a must-see destination offering year-round entertainment, including a seasonal skating rink, summer garden, bistro and more.

Relaxation wasn’t always the top priority, though.
In 1788, the low, marshy site served as a drill ground for militia training.
Campus Martius means “military ground” and was named after an Ohio stockade.

Fortunately, times have changed and nearby international neighbors are on a much more friendly footing.
Why not see the sights of Campus Martius Park for yourself?
